Stunning countryside wedding venue in West Sussex
It was a gorgeous morning, as I arrived to see Emma and her beautiful bridesmaids. They began to get ready, dressed in their matching Kimonos. This is one of my favourite parts of a wedding observing the dynamic between a bride and her bridesmaids. In this room, all there was, was love. It was so precious to watch the closeness between them all.
The setting for this wedding was one of my favourite venues, Selden Barns it created the perfect environment for the bride & groom and their guests. Emma appeared looking completely exquisite in her floor length A-line gown, with a delicate white flower bodice. Paired with a sparkling tiara and a long flowing vail. My favourite images from this part of the day, are the pictures I’ve got of Emma looking into the mirror. The day she had dreamed of, ever since she was a little girl was finally here. After this, I was able to capture some pictures of her and her bridesmaid posing on the chaise lounge, the images have come out so elegant almost regal.
As Emma entered the barn Max’s expression was priceless, as he first caught a glimpse of his stunning bride walking down the aisle. The ceremony was so romantic and all of their guests watched with such joyfulness as they saw Emma and Max declare their love for each other in such a striking setting. Max and his groomsmen looked very dashing in their country-chic brown three piece suits.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds walked out onto the lawn followed by their guests. At this point, I was able to get some really special family snaps, which I think the couple will cherish for a lifetime. My favourite shots of Emma & Max from the day were taken on the stone path, which lead up to this incredible wooden pyramid structure. In these, images Max is holding tightly onto Emma, embraced, they’re completely glowing in their happiness and love for each other.
After this, we entered the reception barn and it was simply stunning, white drapes hanging from the ceiling, grand chandeliers, I felt like I had stepped back into the 1920’s, so grand and so chic.
The wonderful wedding breakfast was followed by some fantastic speeches. I absolutely love capturing the speeches at weddings and it’s a way of really archiving the atmosphere of a wedding. Once the meal was over, I took Max and his new bride outside for some more photos. It was at this moment, I captured them underneath the pagoda in the beautiful walled gardens. The sun was setting and it created the perfect tranquil setting for such an iconic wedding snap.
The evening continued way into the night with cake, dancing and lots of laughing and celebration. It was wonderful to be a part of their special day and I wish for them a lifetime of happiness.
