SMALL BUT PERFECT PHOTO SESSION

Looking for a cake smash photographer in Littlehampton?

The Cake Smash Sessions are the perfect way to document that 1st birthday milestone that means so much.

Your session will capture a small selection of family images to put your kids at ease and then the smashing begins.

They are extremely limited with only seven-time slots per month so early booking is recommended.

HOW DOES A CAKE SMASH SESSION WORK?

With a 20 min slot booked, there’s plenty of time to capture everything you could possibly want.

At the beginning of the session, I will spend 10 minutes taking a mixture of family shots and some individual shots of your child.

This allows for your child to relax into the shoot with the safety of you being right there with them.

Once that’s done, I move on to the Cake Smash part of the shoot. There are 2 or 3 options for you in terms of backgrounds and flooring so I’ll chat about that before your session.

There will be a series of shots taken documenting the destruction of the cake. Some kids will pile through it and others will be reluctant at first so I will simply take time and let your child take it at their own pace.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A CAKE SMASH SESSION?

A cake smash photography session is a fun, joyful way to commemorate the milestone of your little one’s first birthday.

I will capture your baby’s surprise, curiosity and delight as they tear into their first taste of sugar.

A cake smash is a great way to express your baby’s unique personality in a relaxed and carefree way. I start with some pre-smash portraits taken of your child, capturing their many expressions. I then introduce the cake and the fun begins!

WHAT TO WEAR?

It’s up to you, it can be as casual or dressy as you like. Most people bring along a couple of outfits, usually one for the ‘pre-cake’ portraits and the other for the ‘cake smash’ itself.

Feel free to dress and accessorise your child however you please. Please remember that their clothing will end up covered in icing so don’t dress them in something that you would be upset if it got ruined.

Please bring a change of clothes for both of you, as icing can quite literally get everywhere.

WHAT TO BRING?

Please do bring a few of your child’s favourite toys, this is a good idea for comforting and distracting them at the beginning of the session.

You can choose to bring your own balloons and personalised bunting with your child’s name on too if you wish.

A 20-minute mini session, private website gallery to view all photos

The session fee covers my time, experience, full use of props, to capture, fully edited, retouched and finished viewing gallery of at least 50+ images for you to order from.
