Hi, I’m Darren

Welcome to my creative journey behind the lens. As a wedding & portrait photographer near you, I specialise in capturing authentic moments with a relaxed, unobtrusive approach. Here’s the philosophy that fuels my passion for photography.

Join me as I share my evolution from an enthusiastic amateur to a dedicated professional photographer.

For as long as I can remember, I've owned a camera to capture the milestones and moments of my own life's narrative. Photography has become my escape - a therapeutic realm where I can refine my artistic skills.

What began as a hobby - capturing people, landscapes, and close-ups - soon evolved into an addictive pursuit as I delved into the intricacies of photography techniques.

I believe that light breathes life into photographs. Seeking and capturing diverse light sources is central to my creative process. It's a way for me to explore the world around me, pushing the boundaries of my creativity and embracing new editing styles.

Residing in the breathtaking county of Sussex continually inspires my work. Whether I'm wandering along the coastal wonders of Brighton and Worthing or immersed in the natural splendor of the West Sussex countryside I call home, I'm constantly motivated to create.

Allow me to share a part of my personal story...

After becoming profoundly deaf at eighteen months, I received a cochlear implant at nine years old. Today, I effectively communicate using British Sign Language and possess excellent speech skills. My disability has never hindered my determination.

My amazing, supportive partner brings joy and purpose to my life, assists me with all the bright ideas. She is the beating heart of my existence, bringing joy and purpose to my life.

Beyond photography, I am passionate about movies and music. Whether through visual storytelling, creative innovation, or the magic of a melodic composition, my heart thrives on the power of artistry.

My mission is to infuse creativity into every endeavour, ensuring you feel comfortable, beautiful, and cared for. For me, photography is about building relationships, fostering friendships, and preserving cherished memories.

Humour permeates my perspective on life, and I wholeheartedly believe in the strength of teamwork, community, and collaboration. Let's connect as friends.
