I’ve been a wedding photographer for 6 years, before that I was a portrait and lifestyle photographer. My first wedding was at the Amex Stadium in 2017 when I fell in love documenting the pure joy on the faces of family and friends, as well as those small moments between the couple.
I cover all areas in West and East Sussex. If it is outside Sussex then travel charges may apply.
This will depend on a number of factors, including distance, availability of transport, what the roads are like at night, etc
A second photographer is great if you would like groom prep to be photographed as well as bridal prep. It is also great if you want multiple coverage of the wedding reception. Though remember their style may be different from the lead photographer. I am happy to organise a second photographer if required.
Yes absolutely. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Sometimes venues want proof of suppliers insurance, so just let me know and I can provide a certificate.
The sooner the better! 4-6 months is usually the safe minimum lead time for bookings.
Like most photographers I get booked up very far in advance, so please get in touch as soon as possible via my contact page to check my availability. We can arrange a time to chat properly before you make a decision about whether to proceed with a booking.
There's absolutely nothing to be nervous about. The session will go by really quickly. The studio is private so therefore will be no audiences or anything. There's a private dressing room to get changed, and a toilet.
I will photograph all possible combinations of family to fill the hour for example photos of kids on their own, mum with kids, dad with kids, all of you. Plenty of fun family interaction which is what being a family is all about!
Brighter colours work well. Try to avoid block colour (so all white or all black). You may bring up to 4 clothing changes if you wish too. I'll use different backgrounds to offer lots of variety in your final selection of images. Depending on the style of shoot booked, I'll give lots of advice on what and what not to wear so don't worry. Please remember if you paid for the deposit via Swipe or Paypal to book in any session, please bring the rest of payment in cash to pay in full.
I give an estimate of time scales and depending on what type of session however the truth is as long as it lasts! I can accommodate up to 3-4 members of the family in a standard portrait shoot. My aim is to exceed your every expectation and I want you to hang your portrait for all to see and feel proud of it. My photography is all about quality, I don't limit the time it takes, however an hour or two is usually sufficient, this can be less if young children are involved as their attention span does not last long.
No problem. There is no charge for rescheduling but if it's possible, please do try to give me as much notice as you can. I will happily reschedule the shoot as soon as I can.
That's entirely up to you. A appointment will be made for you to come back and see the images if you are happy to. Darren Gritton Photography does things a little differently to most. You do not have to come back to the studio at all to view your images. Instead a Low Res CD/USB of all the images can be posted to your home address approx 7 days after the shoot or I post the images onto my online client gallery and provide you with a unique password. From the comfort of your own home you will be able to view, share and order prints.
You may show the photos off on Facebook if you want to but you may NOT print from the Low Res CD (images are resized for viewing and Facebook only. Printing would mean images are poor quality and pixelated.
This will vary and depend on how long of a session you have. You will get unlimited photos if I am with you for more than 2 hours.
