A striking beautiful hotel venue at Arundel
It was so wonderful to be a part of a large celebration again. Ashlee and Martha were able to have the day exactly how they’d always dreamed with everyone they wished to be there, which was wonderful to see after such a long time of restrictions.
A stunning wedding at Hilton Avisford Park, the day started in the hotel room with Martha, her close female family, bridesmaids, and flower girls. Wearing matching pajamas and sipping prosecco. Their dresses hung up neatly on display. I couldn’t wait to see Martha’s dress on, it was hanging in the window with beams of light shining through it, it just looked exquisite. The flower girls looked adorable with curled hair and prim, white princess dresses. The eldest girl, looking stunning in her baby pink greasion gown. Dressed and ready to go, Martha’s six bridesmaids also looked gorgeous in their dark grey, diamondate belted floor length gowns. With bouquets of beautiful light pink roses. Everyone was mesmerised by Martha as she appeared in her stunning princess, layered chiffon dress, with a sweetheart neckline, look completed with a pair of sparkly white trainers.
Awaiting in the registry room was Ashlee dressed in a three-piece dark blue suit, with a light blue silk tie. The outfit completed with a white cowboy hat (an obvious in-joke to the couple). Ashlee was entranced as he caught a glimpse of Martha, walking down the aisle towards him. The ceremony was so beautiful, as the couple exchanged their vows, promising in front of their nearest and dearest, their commitment to each other. The ceremony room looked stunning with long white drapes hanging from the ceiling, wrapped in twinkly lights. I got some gorgeous shots of the couple signing the registry, with this as the backdrop.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests went outside to the lawns for some formal photographs. It was here that I was able to capture some stunning images of the couple together. I was especially focused on capturing Martha’s staggeringly beautiful dress. By spreading the trane far out, it creates some wonderful shots, with the greenery in the background.
After this, we went into the reception room where I was able to get some photos of the decor. I loved, loved, loved the wedding cake. So unique. A three tier, pink, white and blue cake with lace cut icing. Topped with a bride and group, skeletal wedding couple. This cake obviously reflects their passion for the spooker things in life. I’ve always thought, you can tell a lot about a couple from their choice of wedding topper.
After this, the couple stood at the doors, with their two daughters and welcomed their guests in. Taking their seats and the wedding feast began. Partnered with some brilliant speeches. The day continued, with dancing, props, and the cutting of the cake. When it got dark, I took Ashlee and his new bride back outside to the grounds for some evening shots, with the beautiful backdrop of a star lit sky.
It was a glorious day and I truly wish Ashlee and Martha a fruitful life together.
