Intimate Sussex wedding at Brighton
There’s nothing more enchanting than a wedding set in the heart of Brighton. The historic walls of Brighton Town Hall have been the setting for wedding nuptials for centuries and there is nothing quite like it. A city so fall of life and light created the perfect setting for this intimate wedding.
Mark and Clare are such a wonderful couple and it was a real honour to be part of their special day. After months of not photographing a wedding due to covid, it was such a pleasure to kick start the wedding season with them. Clare looked stunning in her princess cut, lace sleeved gown, holding an exquisite bouquet of white peonies. Her four bridesmaids also looked delightful in their greason gowns with fur shawls. Walking into the ceremony room, Mark’s face lit up as he watched Clare arrive, taking her hand gently. You could really tell in that moment how long anticipated and desired this moment was by them both. The ceremony was perfect and within the grand Council Chamber walls you could really feel a sense of grandeur, even though the wedding was small.
After the ceremony Mark and Clare were met at the doors of Brighton Town Hall by a lime green Volkswagen Campervan, which paired with them created some really wonderful photographs of them popping their first bottle of bubbles as husband and wife. After which, we strolled down to the beach front, where I was able to get some beautiful photographs of Mark and Clare together and also with their guests. My favourite photo spot, in which I will not be alone, is the bandstand. Brighton bandstand is a truly perfect spot for any Brightonian to capture their big day, it’s almost a right of passage.
My favourite image of the day is of them standing in the centre of the bandstand, kissing and looking in complete bliss in their love for one another. At the bandstand the happy couple were met by other members of their friends and family and it was at that point I left them to it, however I know they would have carried on into the night celebrating their glorious union. It was an absolute pleasure photographing Mark and Clare’s wedding and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
Wedding’s are my favourite part of being a photographer and there is nothing I love more than capturing the most important day of a couple’s life together. If you’re tying the knot and are still looking for photographer reach out to me at info@darrengrittonphotography.com
