A late Summer wedding in Sussex
Paul & Sharon got married on a beautiful day in late August at Brighton & Hove Registry Office. Sharon looked exquisite in her strappy tea length wedding dress with a boutique of stunning pink and white roses. Before Paul & Sharon were wed, I spent some time with each of them. Paul outside the registry office with his boys, waiting with the guests for the big moment, he was dressed in a very dapper three piece suit with a green silk tie and then inside with Sharon and her gorgeous bridesmaids who where wearing green grecian gowns. The ceremony room of the registry office is grand, with a large oak table curved around the room where the guests sat and watched their dear friends wed. Paul & Sharon sat in two large leather arm chairs. My favourite part of this wedding was the interaction with their children, they were very much a big part of the day with their daughter reading a special poem.
The couple stood and held hands, saying their vows. Placing the rings on each others fingers and promising their eternal love. My favourite shots of them at this point was when then signed their marriage certificates, they looked so proud in the grand setting of the ceremony room. Another lovely moment of the ceremony was when the couple stood in front of the large gold mirror, they were minutes married and I captured them looking at themselves as man and wife for the first time, it was a precious moment.
Next stop, the beach where the promenade stand had been decorated in blue ribbons and white roses, I got some lovely photos of the couple standing there together looking madly in love. Onto the reception, where a delicious afternoon tea was served. And the best cake of the year award has to go to this wedding. A three tier pastel coloured cake, with white lace and white pearls topped with a teapot pouring flowers…. It was incredible and rather a shame to cut it but they did and it was delicious! My favourite part of this wedding was the little wooden train with flowers that kept reappearing everywhere, normally pulled along by one of the children.
There were some wonderful speeches, Paul’s that had everyone beaming with smiles... especially Sharon. The guests danced for hours and the couple cut the cake it was such a lovely afternoon. Full of fizz, cakes, dancing and lots of gorgeous kiddies. It was such a wonderful day and I wish Sharon, Paul and their children years of happiness to come and I thank them for letting me be a part of their big day.
