Wedding Dresses Inspiration Tips
When it comes to choosing and selecting the perfect wedding gown or bridal dress, it’s about finding the best ensemble for your big day that will suit both your style and shape.
As we know, no two brides are ever the same and why should they be?
The key finding your ideal dream wedding dress is to try and figure out the right silhouette for your body type. Everyone is unique.
That’s where a wedding dress can really help a bride to accentuate her features whilst also building on her self esteem and confidence. After all, you should be able to shine and light up the room on your magical day.
Here at Darren Gritton Photography, I am going to talk you through ‘Wedding gowns and bridal dresses trends’ to help you understand the different styles available to you and whether they could work for your unique fashion style and your big day.
After all, a wedding day is the one day in your life when you can get really creative and go all out!
Remember - There are no rules!
A-line dress
One of the most popular and elegant gowns a bride can wear on her wedding day is an A-line dress. This style tends to provide brides with a very clever trick of being able to help make the hips look smaller and the buster appear to be slightly bigger. With a fitted bodice which gently skims over the hips and emphasises the bust area and creates a slimmer waist, this dress is perfect for pear shaped brides.
Tea length dress
If you’re looking for a dress that is more mid-length, then a tea-length dress could be the perfect choice for you. These are perfect for slightly shorter brides who are looking to add additional height to their silhouette as it gives prominence to the ankle area thanks to the higher hemline.
Mermaid dress
For those brides that are looking for a slightly more body-fitted dress, the mermaid dress is perfect for highlighting your appearance and showing off your existing curvaceous figure. This dress is perfect for those brides that have a gorgeous hourglass physique, thanks to it’s figure-hugging sleek and sophisticated design.
Off-the-shoulder dress
As we know, an off-the-shoulder dress can help to bring a touch of class and style to a big day whilst still being sexy too. With the ability to help display and show off defined collarbones and gorgeous skin tone, this dress can help to provide a sharp, fearless and adventurous mindset whilst still allowing for a bride’s confidence and femininity to shine through.
Strapless dress
If you’re looking for a more sophisticated and seamless style, then a strapless dress could be the one for you. This dress tends to fasten at the back or discreetly at the side below the arm allowing for it to sit perfectly across the bust area whilst providing a crisp but yet clear neckline.
Plunging neckline dress
If you’re looking for a more seductive yet provocative design, then the plunging neckline dress is definitely the way to go. The depth of the plunge obviously varies depending of the style you're looking for so make sure you get the design you feel most comfortable with. This dress can expose from your neck and cleavage area, all the way down to your belly button. The choice and the amount of what you reveal is totally up to you. It’s about being comfortable in a style that suits your character, spirit and persona.
Sweetheart dress
For those that looking for a more feminine and gentle style, then the sweetheart dress will be the perfect option for you. With an elegant and prominent heart shape neckline feature across the chest, this dress is perfect for those with a larger bust that are confident with showing some slight cleavage. This dress offers that ‘womanly touch’ that a lot of brides are searching for.
